Library Card Changes

FROM YOUR HEAD LIBRARIAN: Effective May 1, 2016 a change will be coming
to Pioneerland Library System. The change is going to affect those
patrons who are a resident of another County outside of Pioneerland
who use the Ortonville Public Library. Before May 1 (if possible)
you will need to go to a library within the library system in which
you live and get a library card if you do not already have one.
In the State of MN, you are to have a library card from the library
system in which you reside. This will include all vacationers who
stay at the lake during the summer. You will need your library
card from your home library system in order to use the Ortonville
Public Library. This change will not affect those residents who
live in Grant County, SD. All of this is coming about because of
new changes with the changes in Overdrive eBooks and eventually
MnLink. If you have any questions about the new change, please give
me a call in Ortonville at 320-839-2494 and I will be glad to
explain to you why this needs to be done.
Vicki Bartz, Head Librarian
